Welcome!
Stephanie Brown
About Me:
My name is Stephanie Brown. I graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in May
2020 as a Childhood Education/Mathematics Major with a Special Education
certification. I am a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in
Education as well as Kappa Mu Epsilon Honor Society in Mathematics. During my
time at The Mount, I received both the Ralph Scholar Award and the Aquinas Scholar
Award. I student taught in the Fall semester of 2019 in the Monroe-Woodbury Central
School District and since then I have completed two leave replacement positions
within the district; I taught in a 3 month High School Math Leave Replacement
position and a 2 month 6th Grade STEAM Leave Replacement. Through these
positions, I discovered an additional passion in Adolescent Education and am working
on my Adolescent Extension for Mathematics (7-12). In the meantime, I continue to
explore and learn the great and diverse branches of education. I am currently a
Special Education teacher in a 12:1+2 classroom for the Summer Crusaders ESY Program. As I further my education through my Masters at the University of Virginia (online), I am studying Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Social & Emotional Learning. Lastly, I am a well rounded, passionate educator eager to make a difference and instill passions for learning in students across all classrooms!
